Financial Sector Engagement Panel in the native vegetation protection agenda is an initiative of the Forestry Code Observatory that aims to bring transparency on how financial agents obtain and analyze information about compliance with the Forestry Code by their clients and how it influences the decision to grant rural credit.

The data presented in this panel were collected through a questionnaire prepared and applied between 2020 and 2021 with representatives of five financial institutions - Banco do Brasil, Caixa Econômica Federal, Rabobank, Santander and Sicredi - which were responsible for jointly operating around 55 % of the amount of rural credit contracted in Brazil in the same period.
